I Can Get Lost

Thanks to Fork In My Eye’s blog photo, Beauty in the Decay Series #16

I can get lost
in the heart of an artichoke.
Avocados slip into my mouth.
And brussel sprouts –
o! sauteed until almost black
its sweetness fills my room.

The Beauty in the Decay Series
is attentive to the intersection of nature with human-built things;
how nature will have its way.
The captivating presence of the process.
