i’m not very good at responding to comments on THIS page, although reasonably good at responding to posts. just sayin’
PLEASE, NO AWARDS! Awards just challenge my already-boggled mind. Thank you, though. ♥
I have nominated you for The Lovely Blog Award. You can find more information here: http://maggiemaeijustsaythis.wordpress.com/recognition/. 🙂

Mary, I just nominated you for a Liebster Blog award. You can see my post at http://ourprocess.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1117&action=edit&message=6&postpost=v2.
Mary, thanks for your support and friendship. I am sorry I could never answer your question about the likes widget. I really do not know how to help. Sorry, but still . . . thanks for continuing to blog.
aaron, i’ve decided to not accept the award. it’s just too distracting from my real work. it is so super nice to know how much you appreciate plucky umbrella – it means so much to me. so – thank you very much. you probably don’t have to nominate a substitute for me, but you if do, please feel free.
mm
. . . The award is yours. You don’t have to do anything. I didn’t pass on the first two awards I received. I was just too busy. No one knew.
I was only recognizing you for how awesome you are as an artist, cartoonist, poet and singer. I will love your blog, posts and friendship the same.
I think it is a dirty little secret that most bloggers do nothing about the awards they receive other than to say thank you.
ok then – thank you!
and yeah, how great to be called awesome!
Hi, Mary! I know I’ve already commented once today, but I am going back and thanking the first ten people who chose to follow my blog. I appreciate everything you’ve been to my blog. I know my posts have gone away from substitute teaching, but I don’t have a lot of choice in that matter. I also know you don’t go into politics much, but to me that doesn’t matter. I’m just glad you were there to support my blog when I first started and was only getting a few views a week. Your many comments and continual encouragement is much appreciated. Thank you so much, Mary!
Hi Aaron! What a lovely message, you are welcome! I didn’t know you were just starting out, because I was too. I think you and I both enjoy our blogs as something that is both a helpful discipline and a source of creative energy. You have been a reliable source of support for me, too, all along, thank you back. You rock, Mary
aaron, i don’t know what happened to writing about the teaching — ?
also – no problem about the widget thingie.

Karin, how absolutely completely lovely! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
It is my absolute pleasure!
A kindred spirit. I too refrain from participating in the chain-blog awards. I received a couple dozen two weeks ago, all in a matter of days. They must have been really popular at the time. The first one surprised me, until I read it and realized that the nomination was the award, and that I had to make a chain-mail out of it.
Hope your weekend is all that you wish it to be.
richard, yeah, the nomination IS the award! as you can see, i pleasantly accept and then ignore….that’s just where i’m at on the whole thing right now.
i really really appreciate your thoughts for my weekend. to be honest, today i felt like i got hit by a truck, emotionally, and i have been spending the rest of the day recuperating. let’s hope tomorrow is all that i wish it to be. then again, maybe each day unfolds exactly as it should — ?
regards, mary
…unfold as it will, considering our prior plans and actions, mitigated by the activity of nature and other people. I don’t believe in fate/predestination, so I’m never left feeling helpless. Sometimes we can’t change the course of events that affect our lives, but it seems to make it easier realizing that our situation is not a plan of which we are unaware, over which we have no power.
Sorry to learn your day was difficult Mary, and hope that you find a way to be at peace.
thank you for your compassionate and thoughtful response!
my day was just my day – i’m fine……finding inner peace is always a process, i think.
